FAQ
Where are you located?
All my jewelry is handmade by myself in my studio on the coast of Northern California.
Do you accept returns?
Unfortunately, due to the small, handmade nature of my business, I do not accept returns and all sales are final. I do my best to take pictures from multiple angles to show the true nature of the piece. Please be sure of your decision to buy before purchasing. However, if there is a problem with the piece upon arrival, please contact me and I will do my best to find a solution.
How should I care for my jewelry?
I use sterling silver in my metalsmithed pieces, which is prone to tarnishing. When not in use, it is recommended that you keep your jewelry in cool, dark, dry place. You can purchase anti-tarnish bags online for safe storage.
To clean your jewelry, use a soft cloth; my favorite is the yellow Sunshine Polishing Cloth, which is readily available online.
Treat your jewelry like the expensive art that it is! You should NEVER wear your jewelry in the shower or while swimming, sleeping, sweating (while at the gym, etc). Do not expose your jewelry to chemicals such as hand lotion and hairspray. I cannot be held responsible for the painful destruction of your jewelry under these circumstances. Please be careful in the handling of your beautiful jewels; with proper care, your jewelry will provide you happiness for many years to come
I lost an earring; can you make a new one to match?
Unfortunately no, I cannot, as each pair of earrings is made to match each other exactly with the shape and the stone.
Do you do custom work?
Unfortunately no, I do not accept custom requests. I only have precious, limited time to work in my studio, and I have found I am significantly happier spending that time following my own creative paths.
How come .925 isn’t stamped on the back of my piece?
I use sterling silver in all my necklaces and rings. But I don’t always use my .925 stamp. Please read the descriptions of any piece you are interested in buying; I will mention in the comments if I have stamped .925 on the back.
How do you finish your pieces?
After I have completed each silver piece (not including earrings or wire wrapped jewelry), I dip it in a patina (either liver of sulfur or Jax Blackner), which causes an oxidization process, darkening the entire piece. I then buff and polish the raised places, to bring out selective shine. This is a magical, intricate, time-consuming process that brings the piece to life, and gives it a 3-D depth. On most pieces, I then coat it with museum quality Renaissance Wax to protect the patina and slow the natural tarnishing process.
Can I purchase a piece before the official collection release?
Unfortunately no, to keep things fair to everyone, jewelry will not be available to purchase until the appointed collection release time.
How much is shipping?
Shipping in the US is a flat rate of $5. International shipping is determined at checkout.
When will my order ship?
Orders usually ship within 3-4 business days, unless otherwise specified. You will receive an email with tracking information once your package ships.
International orders?
I am happy to ship internationally, but please be aware that your country may add on additional taxes in the form of VAT, customs fees, and import duties. I am not familiar with how your particular country handles such things, and I don’t collect the tax with your payment. I am not able to change the dollar amount on the shipping label/packing invoice (it’s illegal and I don’t want to play that game), so please don’t ask.
